TNR at a glance
-
Trap: Cats are safely trapped with humane traps when instructed and appointments are scheduled.
-
Neuter/Spay: Veterinarians perform surgery, give Rabies/FVRCP, Microchip, and Ear‑Tip for ID (No charges to colony caregiver)
-
Recover: Cats rest in a warm, quiet space overnight.
-
Return: Cats return to their outdoor homes with a caregiver.
Why it works
-
Stops the breeding cycle and humanely reduces population over time.
-
Vaccination improves community health and reduces nuisance behaviors.
-
Ear‑tipping prevents repeat trapping and stress on cats.
-
Neighbors collaborate—improving outcomes for cats and people.
Program guidelines
-
Outdoor cats only (feral, community, free‑roaming, unowned).
-
All cats are ear‑tipped to mark sterilization.
-
Caregivers must provide ongoing food/water and, shelter.
-
Cats are to not be surrendered to animal shelters after going through our TNR program.
-
